The 13 Holy Nights is a window of time between December 24th and January 6th. It is a very special time where the veil between the worlds is thin and messages from the divine are easier to receive. This process is a way to capture those messages by setting time aside each night to reflect, journal, meditate, and pull an oracle card or two. Each night represents a month of the coming year and the information you receive on each night sets an intention for the corresponding month. The first night sets the intention for the entire year to come. I learned about this process in my Qigong training many years ago and I have been practicing it ever since. Along the way I have shared it with friends and a few years ago set up a website to share it with a larger community, www.13holynights.com.
Each night during the 13 Holy Nights I spend time in reflection of the year behind me, the year ahead, and the day. I light a candle, read poetry or other inspiring writing, and I pull a SoulCollage® card from my deck as well as a couple of cards from my many oracle decks. This year I used I Steven Farmer's Power Animal Oracle Cards and The Power Deck by Lynn Andrews. I also decided to pull from my unfinished SoulCollage®, and complete the card adding that energy to my Holy Nights journey.

Intentions for the year, 2022

The SoulCollage® card I pulled for the year I call "At the Edge of The Storm." From where I stand I can see the storm coming. From where I stand I am safe from the storm. I watch in wonder and sometimes disbelief and I keep reminding myself that I am safe from the storm. I have the land to support me, a pillar of fire to warm me, and clear vision of the hawk to rise above the chaos to make wise choices and find a clear path before me. I am safe at the edge of the storm.

The unfinished card I chose to complete for the year I call "Explorer Ready for the Adventure."
Explorer you are ready for this next adventure. You have all you need including our journals from the past show you lessons learned and all of your growth, an empty journal to document your journey, the key to open any door, and your own compass pointing you to true north. Your true north. Owl reminds you to meditate, take time for reflection, and to sit in silence and darkness each evening to really listen to your wise inner self. The Cougar reminds you that you are now a leader in your family and community. Stay strong, clear, and assertive and move forward with faith and courage. Keep your eyes on your goal. (Messages from Animal Spirit Guides by Steven Farmer).
I also drew a card from each of the two oracle decks I'm using this year. Steven Farmer's Power Animal Oracle Cards and The Power Deck by Lynn Andrews.

"You possess healing gifts from the Divine Spirit and are grounded in your body. The two hot spots for this concentration are your heart and hands. Pay attention to these areas and do whatever you need to do to keep them energetically clear. Don't fear your healing power as it is your destiny to help relieve the suffering of others. As you do so you also relieve your own suffering into compassion and love, which is the purest expression of life energy you can have. That is healing no matter what form."
Vision

This painting is entitled "City of Light." It is about knowledge and the juxtaposition of ancient and current symbols that live within us all. This being stands tall in centeredness, as we all strive to do. Do not be distracted, but rather stay centered in your vision of sacredness, and rise above the ordinary pain of life. There are times when you will have less vision bringing a sense of unbalance. As your vision grows, and you will see that everything is alive. See the sacredness of all things. Then you will become strong. See power all around you; it is you."
